Our company Plug-In Tours was accepted to participate in this years expanded ArtWeek celebration April 28-May 6th.   The Art of Cape Ann Tour, is a narrated bus tour bringing up to 14 passengers inside a selection of Cape Artists’ studios.  As part of the tour, a knowledgeable local guide will share history of the many artists who have called Gloucester and Rockport home, along the picturesque route to studios and galleries that are rarely open, off the main street areas or adjacent to an artists home.

More information is available in the attached Press release.  Ours is a unique tour, which combines the beauty of America’s Oldest Seaport, the stories of some of the world’s most renowned artists who were inspired here, along with the rare opportunity to step inside the working studios of painters, potters, crafters and other artists that call this area home.

ArtWeek will be the first time we offer The Art of Cape Ann tours, though we will continue to offer the tour throughout the year, featuring artists in various villages around Cape Ann.  Each tour will bring our visitors to a different part of town, to see different types of artisans. For example, the weekend of June 2nd and 3rd, we will help the Cape Ann Artisans take their 35th Anniversary Open Studios tour on the  road, covering all 21 artists on three tours during that weekend.

Guests who join our weekly tours starting April 28th through Mid-October will have the pleasure of meeting new and well known artists in their studio, enjoying the beauty of the quaint villages and coastline, local stories, and snacks offered in the studios and along the way.  The ArtWeek Tour is being offered for a special price of $25 per person.  Call 978-381-0813 or Email friends@plugintours.com to reserve your seat!
